Itsukushima

This is a submission for the picoCAD jam. It is my first time to do any sort of 3D modelling and I had a lot of fun.

My building is the famous "floating" Torii gate at Itsukushima shrine on Miyajima which is off the coast of Hiroshima. This is one of my favourite places in the world and I have many fond memories here. The first gate was erected in the 12th century and the current gate dates to the 1870s and thus represents the continuous nature of Japanese architecture.
